Samar is the VP Creative Director of Showfields, the innovative retailer defining and re-inventing the future of retail. She is also the founder of SAMARITUAL, a consultancy with the aim to deliver impactful brand identities visually and experientially, merging the world of commerce with art, fashion, architecture, craft and design, and neuroaesthetics for both commercial and public spaces. Driven by inclusion, diversity and authenticity, which sit at the center of her work, she has built a reputation for experimentation, innovation and thoughtfulness to design for a better world which might be the only thing that matters for the businesses of tomorrow.

Michael Friedman
Director, Digital Future
Mastercard

As a Director with Mastercard’s Digital Future group, Mike Friedman works with customers and strategic partners to evaluate, test and scale the fin-tech of tomorrow. Mike is also the senior editor and writer for Mastercard Signals, a quarterly journal focused on exploring and explaining the future of commerce. Mike holds an MS from the University of Rochester in Public Policy Analysis and BAs in Economics and Health & Society. He is a patented inventor, an amateur songwriter and a determined, though frustrated, golfer.

He stood up a team whose mission is to find customer and business pain points, and match them up with startups and other technology partners to form pilots. His team works across channels and focuses on improving the customer experience. Stew comes to Verizon from Warner Music Group where he headed up a Product Design and Innovation group for several years. Prior to that, he ran User Experience at Digitas NYC, where he worked on brands like American Express, Samsung, Delta, and Diageo.
