They've delivered talks to global audiences at Grace Hopper Celebration, Lesbians Who Tech, Cisco, Oracle, and Women Who Code. SAY is based in Oakland, California and loves collecting passport stamps.

Verizon

Phil Puthumana is a Program Manager of Corporate Social Responsibility with Verizon. Phil leads EdTech Innovation at the Verizon Foundation and is responsible for the development and implementation of Verizon’s signature K12 Education programs focused on reducing the digital divide for underserved students and improving their STEM-related academic achievement. Phil's program portfolio includes accountability for developing innovative content to deliver over Verizon's upcoming 5G network deployment, utilizing next-gen technology, including VR, AR and, AI.

Julia Winter
CEO
Alchemie

Julia Winter, CEO of Alchemie, taught college-level chemistry courses for over twenty years at Detroit Country Day School. She earned the James Bryant Conant Award in 2016, the highest honor given to a high school teacher by the American Chemical Society (ACS), for her success in the classroom. Her goal as the founder of Alchemie has been to build interactive digital tools for students based on her years of science instruction. She has raised over $1.5M from the National Science Foundation and the Department of Education as the Principal Investigator on Small Business Innovative Research grants to create new learning technology for higher education and accessibility.

Verizon's 5G Labs

Joshua Ness is a Senior Manager with Verizon's 5G Labs in New York City. He works with large enterprises, startups, and academic teams to drive innovation around 5G technology through 5G trials, hackathons, industry partnerships, prototyping challenges and more. He also works to educate, inspire, and connect entrepreneurs as a mentor on topics like corporate innovation and business networking.
