Description:

For the past few months one thing that has held us together is community. Alley’s HQ is based in NYC where one of the largest pride parades is celebrated and was inaugurated. It is hard to imagine a year ago was Stonewall's 50th anniversary. Although we cannot be together for pride this year we decided to celebrate virtually. Join us and our panel as we discuss how we can create more visibility in tech and entrepreneurship for the LGBTQ+ community, how to empower great LGBTQ leaders, businesses, and entrepreneurs, what you can do to seek out businesses that support equality and how to make your support visible as an ally.

Zoe Gagnon
Engineering Practitioner, Leader, & Mentor

I, Zoe, am an engineering practitioner, leader, and organizer. I'm at my best when I am helping people reach higher levels of their own potential. I'm as comfortable mentoring engineers through a tricky bit of code as I am guiding an engineering team towards iterative, continuous value delivery. I know I'm succeeding when people are more awesome because of me.

Takiya Anthony-Price
Founder & Executive Producer
One On One Stream

Brooklyn born, Berlin trained, Boston-based .

Takiya is an emotional intelligent Culture Curator focused on creating meaningful and intuitive experiences through innovative tech - simply, she likes to build space for people that don't have a seat at the table, and as Alley’s Cambridge Community Manager, she’s done just that, fostering a community of inclusivity and innovation.

Nothing about Takiya’s career trajectory has been linear, and honestly for years she thought that was problematic—but has quickly realized that her experience in all levels of business have given her the ability to view things objectively and execute with precision on all projects ranging from Digital Marketing to UX design.

Since then, StartOut has become a champion for the LGBTQ+ entrepreneurial community providing the resources entrepreneurs need to succeed, promoting the successes of our community, and researching the economic impacts of LGBTQ+ discrimination.
